Fit comes before fastening
Accurate measurements, sufficient mounting depth, product dimensions, and the material around the opening are central to a successful installation.
Inside mounts need enough clear depth and a square opening; outside mounts need appropriate trim or wall space for brackets.
Share opening width, height, depth, product dimensions, and the manufacturer’s measuring instructions.
Wood trim, drywall, plaster, masonry, tile, and metal window components can change the available fastening location.
Handles, radiators, air conditioners, deep sills, doors, furniture, and uneven trim may affect operation or bracket placement.
Label every window

Photograph every opening and label it by room, including radiators, handles, air conditioners, tile, and deep trim.
Chicago project planning
Bay windows, deep vintage trim, radiators, uneven openings, and shallow metal frames are common variables in Chicago properties. Measure in several places and confirm drilling rules before ordering inside- or outside-mount products.
Measure, match, install
Every product should be matched to a measured opening before brackets are installed.
Label each box by room and send the product size, instructions, brackets, and opening measurements.
Inside depth, outside bracket space, trim, handles, radiators, and wall material are checked against the product.
The rod, blind, or shade is leveled, secured, and checked for normal opening, closing, and clearance.
Window Treatment Installation FAQ
We install common curtain rods, horizontal or vertical blinds, and non-hardwired roller, cellular, or Roman shades. Send the product link, exact size, instructions, brackets, and a labeled photo of the window where each product belongs.
An inside mount needs enough clear depth and a reasonably square opening. An outside mount needs suitable trim or wall space for the brackets. Product instructions and window measurements should guide the choice before installation.
Yes. Measure the opening's width, height, and depth and include the trim dimensions when relevant. Older openings can be uneven, so measure in more than one place and follow the manufacturer's measuring guide.
These surfaces may be workable, but each needs a different fastening approach. Send close and wide photos of the proposed bracket locations and note any tile, metal window components, repaired plaster, or other unusual material.
The product should be selected and matched to the opening before a standard installation visit. If you are unsure whether it will fit, send the measurements and product specifications before ordering rather than relying on the label size alone.
Include removal in the request and send photos of the existing brackets and holes. Wall repair, painting, or disposal is not automatically included and should be described separately if needed.
An incorrectly sized product may not be installable as intended. Some projects can use an outside mount, but resizing, fabrication, and product replacement are separate from installation. We will not force a product into an unsuitable opening.
