Fixed TV Mounts
Low-profile brackets installed for a clean, close-to-the-wall setup.
Chicago Handyman Service
MainteGO mounts flat-screen TVs in Chicago homes, apartments, condos, and rental properties. We install fixed, tilting, and full-motion brackets, set the viewing height, level the screen, attach the TV, and can organize visible cables with surface-mounted covers when requested.
Send the TV model and size, bracket model, full-wall photos, and your preferred screen height. Show nearby outlets, fireplaces, cabinets, soundbars, game consoles, and streaming devices so the placement works for the room before drilling begins.
Mount and screen setup
Review the specific TV Mounting tasks below and the product, surface, or access details that can change the work.
Low-profile brackets installed for a clean, close-to-the-wall setup.
Tilting brackets installed where a downward viewing angle helps with higher placement.
Articulating brackets installed after the TV weight, wall support, extension, and side clearance are checked.
Screen height and horizontal position planned around seating, outlets, cabinetry, and room layout.
The screen attached to the bracket and checked for correct engagement and ordinary movement.
Power and device cords grouped with suitable external covers or organizers when included in the request.
Common project types
Choose the bracket style and placement that fit the screen, wall, seating position, and connected devices.
Low-profile fixed brackets installed at an agreed viewing height when the television, bracket, and wall are compatible.
Tilting brackets positioned to improve viewing angle while maintaining the clearances required by the supplied mount.
Articulating mounts reviewed for television weight, extension forces, stud or masonry support, and nearby clearance.
Visible power and device cables can be grouped with compatible external covers or organizers without adding in-wall electrical work.
Choose the right position
A safe, useful placement depends on more than screen size. The mount specification, wall assembly, viewing position, and connection layout all matter.
The television model and mounting pattern must fall within the bracket manufacturer’s supported range.
Wall construction determines the fastening approach and may limit where a bracket can be positioned.
Full-motion brackets place different forces on a wall than fixed mounts and need additional compatibility review.
Share the location of power, streaming devices, consoles, soundbars, and existing cable openings before selecting the final height.
Show us the TV and wall
For TV Mounting, the photos, dimensions, product information, and access notes below help prevent missing parts or an unsuitable setup.
Send the brand, model number, screen size, weight, and rear VESA mounting pattern.
Include the mount model, product link, hardware, and whether it is fixed, tilting, or full-motion.
Show the entire wall and identify drywall, plaster, brick, masonry, tile, or other known materials.
Mark the preferred height and show seating, outlets, cable connections, fireplaces, soundbars, and nearby cabinets.
Chicago project planning
Chicago homes may have newer drywall, vintage plaster and lath, exposed brick, or masonry behind a finished wall. Those surfaces take different fasteners, and condo drilling hours or elevator rules may also affect the appointment.
Plan before drilling
The screen, bracket, wall, seating position, and cable plan all need to work together.
Share the TV and mount models, screen weight, VESA pattern, hardware photos, and full-wall view.
We consider seating, outlets, soundbars, nearby furniture, wall construction, and the bracket movement.
The bracket is positioned and leveled, the TV is attached, and ordinary movement and clearance are checked.
TV Mounting FAQ
TVs may be mounted on drywall over framing, plaster, brick, or masonry when the wall is sound and the correct fastening method is available. Send a wide photo of the wall and tell us anything you know about its construction. The safest mounting position may differ from the first visual preference.
Send the TV model, screen size, weight, and VESA pattern, plus the mount model or product link. A photo of the full wall should show outlets, furniture, soundbars, cabinets, and the preferred screen location.
Fireplace installations need separate review because heat, wall construction, mantel depth, viewing height, and hidden utilities can change the scope. Do not assume the space is suitable from a front photo alone; include side views and fireplace details with the request.
This service can include basic organization of visible cables with compatible surface-mounted covers. New outlets, in-wall power, or other electrical changes are not part of standard TV mounting and should be requested through Electrical Services.
Yes, if the bracket supports the TV's size, weight, and VESA pattern and is appropriate for the wall and intended movement. Send both model numbers and photos of all included hardware before the visit.
Start with the usual seating position, not only the center of the wall. Share a room photo that shows the sofa or bed, nearby furniture, outlets, and any soundbar. We can review the preferred height before holes are drilled.
The position may need to shift, or a different mounting plan may be required. Wall structure, TV weight, bracket type, and nearby utilities take priority over exact centering when those factors conflict.
